These honest words from a young participant in our MyPeace workshop say more than a thousand explanations. And that’s exactly what it was all about: giving young people the space to be heard — and the tools to raise their voices. Within just five hours, a powerful song was born: “One Day (Today).”

In just one afternoon, eleven engaged young people gathered at musiclab Emmendingen and, together with the two experienced instructors Teddy Oculi and Krischan Lukanow, created a musical statement for peace, agency, and self-expression.
The workshop was part of the international MyPeace project, which provides young people across Europe with creative tools to make their ideas and emotions visible — and audible.
It was organized by Outside Media & Knowledge and musiclab Emmendingen.

MyPeace stands for expression, participation, and the desire for dialogue across borders.
In several European countries, the project supports creative workshops where young people transform themes like peace, identity, diversity, and unity into art – whether through music, theater, film, or media production.
