Introducing a Partner: Le Laba

Based in Bordeaux, France, the association Le Laba is engaged in socially innovative projects. Since 2014, Le Laba has been committed to integrating culture with pivotal societal areas such as health, inclusion, and digital transformation. Their speciality lies in driving change across the cultural, creative industries, media, tourism, and sports sectors by fostering international cooperation and developing public-private partnerships.

The Team Behind The Vision

For MY PEACE, the entire team at Le Laba is supporting the two project managers dedicated to this initiative. Carefully selected members already involved in music and entrepreneurship bring their expertise, enthusiasm, and innovative spirit to the project. Maud Gari and Judyth Babin, both passionate about music due to their experiences in the music industry and involvement in Creative Europe projects like MEWEM and SEWEM, focus on empowering women entrepreneurs in the music industry for positive societal impact.

MY PEACE & The Mission

The essence of Le Laba’s work is reflected in the MY PEACE project, aiming to integrate culture into key aspects of community and personal development. Using music as a tool to create peace and inspire young people aligns perfectly with Le Laba’s objectives and their previous projects, such as the Music Migrants Manifesto and the European Youth Orchestra.

Contribution to MY PEACE

Le Laba brings years of experience and a wide range of skills to the MY PEACE project, from communication strategy to youth engagement. Their insights come from extensive cross-sector collaboration, ensuring that the project will be enriched with diversity and innovation.

Anticipated Growth

Participating in MY PEACE offers Le Laba significant growth opportunities. For the first time, the organisation has the chance to collaborate with partners from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Ukraine, deepening their understanding of social dynamics and refining their approach to creating a lasting impact.

The project is expected to have a profound impact on Le Laba as they learn from their partners, youth workers, and young people involved in the music sessions and international events. Cooperating on peacebuilding is crucial, and working with young people offers an opportunity to understand their perspectives in these uncertain times.
