What happens when young people from diverse backgrounds come together not to compete, but to listen, create, and express themselves through music ? The European project My Peace – Music of Youth continues to provide powerful answers.
As part of the project’s launch of the musical sessions and videos developed under Work Package 3, Margaux Velez from Le LABA presented My Peace on November 5, 2025, to a group of 36 master’s students from the cultural sector at Université Bordeaux Montaigne and Sciences Po Bordeaux (Master IPCI and MPCDT).

The session offered an overview of the project’s goals and partnership, and invited students to explore excerpts from the filmed musical sessions created across Europe. These videos showcase a diverse panel of young European voices, each reflecting on the themes of peacebuilding, coexistence, and intercultural dialogue through original artistic expression.
The presentation also opened a conversation on how collective musical practice can serve as a tool for inclusion and civic engagement. By integrating My Peace into a university setting, the event highlighted the project’s educational relevance — connecting artistic creation with the professional and civic training of future cultural practitioners.
The initiative sparked genuine enthusiasm among the students, who expressed a high level of satisfaction and curiosity about the project’s artistic and social dimensions, particularly its innovative approach to linking youth participation and cultural cooperation.
More than a showcase of artistic outputs, the session in Bordeaux illustrated the project’s broader ambition: to use music as a universal language for empathy, connection, and peace.
