MY PEACE Music Sessions: Voices, Stories, and Songs for Peace

The MY PEACE music sessions bring young people, musicians and peace advocates together to create a series of powerful music-and-dialogue videos. Each session combines an intercultural song interpretation with short recorded conversations led by youth. These conversations explore how music helps people connect across differences, process conflict, express their hopes, and speak openly about the world they want to shape.

What do our videos offer?

This collection presents authentic peacebuilding messages from young people across Europe. Through music, storytelling, and honest dialogue, the sessions highlight themes such as inclusion, nonviolent communication, solidarity, the impact of war on youth, and the role of creativity in building understanding.

Who is this video series for?

The sessions are designed for:

  • Youth educators who want to bring contemporary, relatable peace education resources into their work.
  • Musicians, community music groups and cultural organisations interested in creative, collaborative approaches to social impact.
  • Peacebuilding practitioners looking for youth-centred materials that spark reflection and conversation.
  • Young people who want to see their peers speak out, share culture, and shape narratives of peace.

What is the Educational value of these videos?

The videos and the reports containing educational methods, can be used as ready-made learning materials in workshops, classrooms, community spaces or youth programmes. They offer:

  • Real examples of youth-led dialogue on sensitive topics.
  • Intercultural music interpretations that support conversation about identity, belonging and empathy.
  • Prompts for group reflection on conflict, peace, and social responsibility.
  • A model for integrating creative expression into civic engagement and peace education.
They can be used as standalone discussion starters or as part of broader sessions on music, culture, or social change.

What will you as the viewer will gain from watching our video series?

Viewers gain insight into how young people understand peace and how music helps them communicate their message. The videos offer a direct, accessible way to explore big questions: How do we listen to one another? How do we respond to conflict? What kind of communities do we want to build?

This series is meant to inspire thought, conversation, and action. It invites every viewer to slow down, listen, and reflect on the possibilities of peace through creativity and collective voice.
