We (musiclab)  Are Partners in the MyPEACE Project of the European Union

The project MUSIC FOR YOUTH (MyPEACE) provides a peace-building approach by giving young people the opportunity to participate in the peace process in an attractive and youth-oriented way through music.
MyPEACE will contribute to the much-needed process of peace consolidation across Europe by offering young educators an innovative, forward-thinking educational approach, enabling them to be carriers of peace-consolidating education for young people.

“Music has healing power. It has the ability to take people out of themselves for a few hours.”

  • ELTON JOHN, WHO SAYS WE SHOULD NEVER BE AFRAID TO SAY THREE SIMPLE WORDS: "I NEED HELP."

Project Goals

  • Songwriting as a Method for Creating Peace: Through the creative process of songwriting, participants engage deeply with the theme of "peace." The song is meant to reflect both personal and universal aspects of the topic.
  • Processing Conflicts and Trauma: Music offers a unique platform for expressing emotional experiences. For participants with refugee backgrounds, this can be a first step toward processing trauma.
  • Building Community: Collaborating on a shared song encourages exchange between different cultural backgrounds and strengthens the sense of community.
  • Documentation and Inspiration: The creation process of the song and the stories behind it are meant to inspire others and bring the topic of "peace" into focus.
