Established 15 years ago, it is primarily a Nordic initiative but has expanded significantly, encompassing participants from over 35 countries. GLOMUS is implemented and promoted by The Royal Academy of Music and The Danish National School of Performing Arts. These institutions have led the initiative by organizing various projects and events that encourage artistic exchange.

A recent example is the 2022 GLOMUS Camp in Aarhus, Denmark, where around 200 students and educators from music and performing arts institutions participated in artistic collaborations and discussions about global issues. Themed “GLOBAL OPTIMISM”, this camp explored the ways in which young artists interpret cultural, political, and human challenges in a post-pandemic world.
